e- Visa

  1. e-Tourist Visa scheme, which was launched by Government of India on November 27, 2014 initially for 43 countries, has been extended to more countries from time to time. From 15th August 2015 The Netherlands was included under e-Tourist Visa scheme.

  1. e-Tourist Visa scheme has now been widened under e-Visa and categorized in following three categories:

  1. e-Tourist Visa

  2. e-Business Visa

  3. e-Medical Visa

  1. e-Visa is valid for entry through from 24 designated airports (i.e. Bangalore, Bagdogra, Coimbatore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Calicut, Cochin, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Gaya, Jaipur, Lucknow, Trichy and Varanasi) and 3 designated seaports (i.e. Mangalore, Cochin and Marmago). However, exit is possible from any of the authorized Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) in India. The e-Visa scheme entails capture of biometric data of the visitor on arrival at the airport.

  1. An e-Visa can be applied through a dedicated website (https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html). The citizens of eligible countries can apply online for e-visas (double entry for Tourist and Business Visa; Triple Entry for Medical Visa; each visit not exceeding 60 days; twice a year; non-extendable, non-convertible & not valid for visiting Protected/Restricted and Cantonment Areas). The request shall be responded to within 72 hours through email.

Eligibility

  1. International Travellers whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sight seeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, short duration medical treatment or casual business visit.

  2. Passport should have at least six months validity from the date of arrival in India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer.

  3. International Travellers should have return ticket or onward journey ticket, with sufficient money to spend during his/her stay in India.

  4. International Travellers having Pakistani Passport or Pakistani origin may please apply for regular Visa at Indian Mission.

  5. Not available to Diplomatic/Official Passport Holders or Laissez-passer travel document holders.

  6. Not available to individuals endorsed on Parent\'s/Spouse\'s Passport i.e. each individual should have a separate passport.

  7. Not available to International Travel Document Holders.

Queries may be made on 24X7 helpline number (+91-11-24300666) and email address ([email protected]). Embassy of India, The Hague, would not be in a position to address queries related to e-Visa.

Applications for regular visas of different categories will continue to be processed through the authorized service provider of the Embassy of India, VFS Global (www.vfsglobal.com/india/netherlands), at its three centers at The Hague, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. However, VFS Global is not involved in the e-Visa scheme, which is outside its purview.
